Get your running shoes ready! The 2016 Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust Fun Run / Walk is coming to Dunedin, Saturday, 2 April, 2016.

The event will bring the Dunedin community, healthcare professionals, and the National Rural Health Conference together to highlight the importance and value of Rural GPs and that of the Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust.

Important information

Entry: Teams or individuals by koha. Entries will be taken until 6pm, Friday 1 April 2016 but please register sooner rather than later.

Sign up: Email your completed entry form to or mail to; Pat Farry Rural Health Education Trust, PO Box 1252, Queenstown 9348, New Zealand.

Course: Start at Dunedin Railway Station on Anzac Ave, run/walk around the Otago Harbour towards Portabello.

Distance: Approximately 5km walk or 10km run.

Pre-race briefing and warm-up: 6.30am at the Dunedin Railway Station, Anzac Ave, Dunedin. Join the Highlander’s Gareth Evans for a warm up from 6:30-6:50am.

Start time: 7.00am (sharp)

Prizegiving: 8.00am stick around as we have lots of freebies and giveaways.

  • Once you romp on home, stick around for the prize giving. Local businesses including The Lone Star Dunedin, Red Seal, Hush Spa, Sanitarium and Sol Pharmacy have sponsored or donated spot prizes as well as prizes for the first team and individual home.

  • Special prizes for the first conference teams (delegate and exhibitor) home will be presented at the National Rural Health Conference Gala Dinner.
